imebag Darrell murdered at Columbus Ohio show Posted by Acid - Sat 11 Dec, 2004 06:55 PM EST Darrell "Dimebag" Abbott, most known for his thrashing power chords and shredding solos as lead guitarist for metal band Pantera, was shot and killed on stage while playing a show with his latest band, Damageplan, Wednesday night (December 8, 2004).
The gunman, 25 year old Nathan Gale, circumvented the security (or lack there of) of the night club and climbed onto the stage as if attempting to stage dive. The derranged fan then fired 2 rounds at Dimebag, severely wounding him and bringing him immediately to the ground. The gunman then fired 1 shot, killing bodyguard Jeffrey "Mayhem" Thompson as he attempted to disarm the gunman. Gale then turned and fired 3 more rounds, assuring the death of a legendary guitarist.
Before police arrived on the scene, Gale killed two other people and wounded two more. Finally, Officer James D. Niggemeyer, opting to not wait for backup, entered the club and was able to subdue the gunman with a single shot from his 12-gauge. Officer Niggemeyer, risking his life to take the man responsible for the murder of one of metal's greatest gutarists down without backup, is a hero and has potentially saved the lives of many people.

rogressing Nicely! Posted by Lazlo - Mon 06 Dec, 2004 10:55 PM EST WoW has been out for almost two weeks now and Zeal has been moving rather well since then. We have a group of individuals level 45-51, a good number near 40 and the rest at about 30. We've grown to around 35 members so far who are all active daily. The 40+ will start hitting the higher tier instances to start gearing up for raids over the next 1-2 weeks. We're all having a ton of fun so far and can't wait to see what the endgame has to offer. Onyxia, here we come!
